1. What is the Institute of Coaching Academy?
The Institute of Coaching Academy provides coaches with in-depth, science-based knowledge on coaching topics. The first course offered on this platform is Mental Health Literacy, launched in the fall of 2022, with future courses to be released.
The academy provides coaches with opportunities to learn asynchronously, so that you can access coaching science whenever and wherever you are.

2. Do I have to be an IOC Member to utilize IOC Academy?
No. Courses within the IOC Academy are available to both members and nonmembers of the IOC. Members will receive a special reduced member rate for all courses and will have access to additional resources that are reserved for IOC members such as our conference and private webinar recordings. 3. What Courses do you offer?
The first course offered on this platform is Mental Health Literacy, launched in the fall of 2022, with future courses to be released.

4. Do courses provide a Certificate or CEUs?
Yes. Upon course completion, you will receive a CEU certificate from the IOC Academy. The IOC applies for CEUs from several coaching accreditation bodies including ICF, NBHWC, Wellcoaches, and AC. The specific number of CEUs will vary based on individual courses.

5. How are courses delivered?
The IOC’s courses are 100% asynchronous for users to be able to learn wherever and wherever they are. Courses are constructed of video and text based instruction, with opportunities for coaches to engage with the new material before being tested on concept retention.

6. Are there cohorts for courses?
No. This course is asynchronous and has an open enrollment versus having groups of people start at the same time. You will be able to begin this course at any time in the calendar year. To accompany the course, we have a proposed itinerary and sequence that can guide you through the course.

7. Can I talk with other people while taking the course?
Yes. Although this course is completely asynchronous, we want to provide a space to discuss, learn, and grow. To support our course attendees, we have a community space available where individuals can discuss what they are learning in a closed environment with other course participants.
We encourage our course participants to enter this space and view it as a collaborative learning experience for themselves and everyone they encounter.

8. Can I get a refund for a course?
You can request a refund for a course within 30 days of purchasing depending on some factors. Full details on refunds for courses are available here.
